Did you know that people are most afraid of big black dogs? Did you also know that animal shelters have the hardest time adopting out big black dogs? It is supposedly because it is hard to read their expression. Sad, I know. Story here.
Weird! Makes me want to go adopt one. Our new neighbors have the cutest black lab next door that they got from the pound. He is big, dumb and so sweet.
I also feel as though I neglected to mention Jocko, my fox terrier, who is mostly white and suffers from "dirty neck." (this means he finds something dirty and feels the need to roll in it and grind it into his upper back/neck area)
That is strange. We always had dogs growing up in my house. I had a roommate with a cat (Greg), but I hated that cat! My wife is the one that started us having cats. Now we have 2 cats and 2 dogs. We had the cats first because I always said I wouldn't get a dog while we were still living in apartments. I like both, but if I had to pick though, I would definitely be a dog person.

I have two also! They are the best dogs ever!
Are they easier to keep clean than my little white Westie?
Hah! We had a Westie when growing up... he was not only a ballsy terrier, but a dirt magnet.
No, unfortunately my black dogs just as dirty as white dogs, they just hide it better.

Chris, don't take this the wrong way, but I always thought of you as more of a cat person. I don't know why.
