Nightcap To A Great Day Of Sports

The Nascar All Star Race proved to be an exciting end to an exciting day. The fan favorite, Kasey Kahne, who was voted into the race, won. My two favorite drivers, Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth, finished second and third. The most hated driver, Kyle Busch, blew up his engine in the first round, and Dale Jarret gave a tearful farewell as he raced his last Nascar race. Wonderful fun!

My favorite driver, Greg Biffel, had a great weekend. He finished second behind Carl Edwards at Dover, Delaware. My second favorite driver, Matt Kenseth, had the best car all day, led the most laps, but blew an engine with only 28 laps left. The thrill of victory (or 2nd place) and the agony of defeat!

HUGE day for sports in NE

Three major sports, three different venues.

The New England Patriots easily dispatched the San Diego Chargers yesterday after a week filled with scandal. Brady shined, throwing three TD's to win the game 38-14.

The Red Sox didn't fare as well. Derek Jeter broke an eighth-inning tie with a three-run homer that sent the New York Yankees to a 4-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Sunday night.

Finally, Clint Bowyer won his first ever Nascar Cup Race yesterday at New Hampshire International Speedway. Yesterday would have been a great day to live in New England where there was something for everyone in the world of sports.

Budweiser announced this week that it won't be going with Dale Earnhart Jr. to Hendricks Motorsports. Is Budweiser crazy?

Dale's new sponsor is reported to be something from PepsiCo. (I've also heard Adidas?) Read story below..

Breeding Shed, Nascar, and Another Quiz

I bred two mares today. Raven was bred to D'Wildcat this morning and Alex to BL's Appeal this afternoon. Both bred well and got good covers, so I'm hoping they will end up pregnant. Keep your fingers crossed. I got home just in time to see the last part of the Nascar race. The universally hated Kyle Busch won, much to Conard's dismay. He hates the two Busch boys!
