My God-daughter

On my last visit, Emma held up her grungy beanie baby named Pinky Bear and said to me:

"Smell this"

I did, and after not smelling anything in particular, I said to her
"What does it smell like?"

and she said "It smells like Pinky Bear"

I just read this post to Emma and she has a big, shit-eating grin on right now.

BTW, "Pinky Bear" no longer resembles the plush, deep pink bear pictured here ... first of all, it's no longer plush, it's a very pale pink and it smells and looks, well, not like something I'd want to cuddle up with in bed. It's pretty thread-bare now as well, and I fear the worst for Pinky Bear: emergency surgery to close up an open wound.

I can vouch for the "icky" bear. It's a bad scene. Pinky Bear needs a spa vacation and maybe some Botox.

My favorite thing about Pinky Bear is the stretched-out neck. She holds it around its neck and it has lost all its stuffing there.
