Nora - thanks for running the contest - and congratulations to all. If ever there was an off track, you saw it at Monmouth. Congratulations also to Conard who braved the handicappers doing much better than any of us could do at his job.
I think Conard felt a little bad about his picks, so I'm glad you said that. He really had a few good picks including Smokey Stover (beaten favorite) and After Market (scratched), not to mention Street Sense(champion). Luck plays heavily into picking the winners and an off track and soft turf can mess up even the best of handicappers.He's a good sport though, and I'm sure he'll play again next time.
