Are there certain songs that invoke feelings of nostalgia for you? The other day I heard the Asia song Heat of the Moment and all I could think of was summer in Vermont, our first boom box with tape player, and sunning on the Branch River with Amy listening to that tape over and over. (notice I said TAPE not CD!) What are some songs that bring you back to certain times or places?

That's so funny. I have lots of those kinds of nostalgic songs tucked away in my memory bank. Here are several that remind me of you when I was little:
1. Bad Company: Feel Like Making Love (or the pg rated version, "Feel Like Making Bacon.") I remember being in the car (probably on the way to VT) and mom disapproving of the song choice and you loudly singing, "bacon," whenever Paul Rogers sings, "love."
2. Journey: Wheel In The Sky (I particularly remember being in your bedroom and it playing on your very 80's stereo).

This one more reminds me of Amy...
3. Michael Jackson's: Thriller- I remember the red light in the cellar and us all dancing on the pool table to it with all the lights off except for the scary red one.

hah! I have a few more too...
Steve Miller Greatest Hits reminds me of Amy, Lisa St Jacques, and Frank Paris, Franks Toyota Fourrunner, and Frank forging Dad's name on school absense notes.

She's A Beauty by The Tubes and Always Something There To Remind Me reminds me of 9th grade, Richie Cunningham, Kathy Cole, French Class, and the love letter from Ernie.

Billy Joel's Greatest Hits entire double album reminds of my high school group of girlfriends, and Pearl Jam Ten brings back serious senior year memories!

Pearl Jam Ten is when I was in So. FL in college and living in the apartment with Sherry after having moved out on D. Good one Mel!
