The Belmont: Street Sense has decided to skip the Belmont and focus more on his fall campaign. He is aiming at the Travers and The Breeder's Cup Classic. The probable belmont field is as follows.

In other news, Sharp Susan is running on June 2nd at Belmont in the Sands Point Stake. The race is 1 1/8 on turf for $100,000. Bill Mott is her trainer.

Hold the phones!!! It makes sense for "Street" to miss the Belmont, but it is a bit of a surprise too... It is a very ungreedy/non greedy act on his owners/trainer's behalf.
It would have been neat to see him and Curlin battle it out down the stretch again.
It will be even nicer to see a Derby winner race beyond his 3 year old summer.
