Road Dedication To A Fallen Soldier
Friday we went to a road dedication for a local Ocala boy who was killed in Iraq. His family were neighbors to Conard's mother and father. It was sad to see his family so overcome with grief and yet so filled with pride. Chad W. Lake would have been 29 years old. He was killed on February 13, 2005. The turnout to the ceremony was great. Family, friends, neighbors, and community members showed up and gave their respect and support. I wonder if there is somewhere to research the war casualties in all of our communities and see what we can do to support the families left behind.
