I had never seen this movie before, so when it was on TNT last night I decided to watch it. Did the whole unopened FedEx box thing bother anyone else? Why did he never open that one? and what the HECK was in it??!!! I hate movies that leave you with questions!

It didn't bother me... He just knew it was special so it was something to hold on to. It ultimately lead him to his soulmate at the end of the movie.
I sort of thought it was the only reason left for him to get home, the responsibility of him delivering the package. Because of the marking on it (angel wings) it stood out to him as special. I just hate the "symbolism" involved and want to know what the package contained!!
